Rock Your Saturday Night Plans with the Ultimate Queen Experience in Galveston
The month of March opens at The Grand 1894 Opera House with One Night of Queen. Performed by Gary Mullen and The Works, this dynamic show pays tribute to the stage theatrics and music of Queen. Don’t miss what promises to be a great time on Saturday, March 7th.
Gary Mullen and The Works is the award-winning band headed by the Freddie Mercury imitator Gary Mullen. Mullen came to fame by winning a major ITV talent Show – “Stars in Their Eyes” in 2000 – for his vocal and visual imitation of Mercury. In 2002, Mullen formed The Works and the rest is history! Riding high on the popularity of the film Bohemian Rhapsody, Mullen and his band have performed throughout the world and re-created the band’s iconic sounds of arguably “the greatest rock band of all time!”
In a performance that is sure to rock you, One Night of Queen is a tribute to the popular British rock band and its frontman. The show takes references from many 1980s Queen tours, using a modified custom-built lighting rig, made to emulate the lighting rigs used during several Queen tours between 1980 and 1986. This production is sponsored in part by Galveston Restaurant Group, ReDevelopment Services, and The Daily News.
One Night of Queen will be performed at The Grand 1894 Opera House. Located in the heart of the Postoffice Street Arts & Entertainment District, The Grand 1894 Opera House presents a year-round schedule of performances featuring stars of stage and screen, Broadway blockbusters, dance, music, comedy and more. Tickets start at $22.50 and are available for purchase online at www.thegrand.com.
While we provide plenty of on-site entertainment at Oakbridge Apartments in Pearland, Texas, we believe that having fun within your larger community is equally as important. Do just that during this event on Saturday!
